Before I discuss Lindsay's most recent spectacle, I would like to respond to Breck's comment on my last post. I appreciate your insight Breck, and must say that I definitely agree with what you are saying. If you look at the "child stars" that you have grown up with or watched grow up in the media, it is obvious that many "child stars" find themselves struggling to evolve from children/family movies to mainstream adult films. I believe this happens because society has trouble accepting the "child stars" transition to mainstream movies because they already hold an established view and perception of the who they are, what type of character they can portray or the type of movie genre they succeed in. This is very challenging because society requires the majority to review their original opinions to know what should be improved. With an open-mind, the majority can review and revise their old beliefs to create a positive, accepting approach to celebrities that depends on equal opportunity, a respectful atmosphere, and genuine encouragement. Accomplishing this task is nearly impossible with so many opposing ideas and views of who the "child star" really is. In order to reach a consensus, people must agree on what future endeavors an actor/actress should pursue. Then opportunities must be established to provide feelings of hope, support and success attainable by anyone that takes advantage of the situation. Society is not able to ultimately decide what career path should be followed by the now grown "child star;" everyone has personal experiences that when shared often contain parallels to situations other people have gone through as well. In reality, there's no way to predetermine who will and will not succeed in the future which means each "child star" needs to prepare for anything to take place; expect the unexpected is essential advice.. Until recently society used to force individuals to determine what should come of the "child star" depending upon the qualities they convey to the audience. Each star needs a detailed description of their specific role so they can work to the best of their ability. By portraying qualities that are required to gain access of the whole situation, understanding the expectations is essential when accepting the position. Where a "child star" ends up in life and their career depends mostly upon the job opportunities they take when they are young. Who will end up the most successful and who will spend eternity as a pawn in the realm of "child stars?"
